This package touches the living rock hewn churches of Lalibela, the dramatic landscapes of the Simien Mountains, and the diversified fauna & flora of the Bale Mountain. Accommodations with very good reviews are used. Though the tour is on surface, three internal flights are included

Day 1
Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa and City Tour

Our staff will welcome you from Bole International Airport. After breakfast, you will head to Holy Trinity Cathedral, National Museum, and Ethnography Museum.

You will have a lunch at a well-known restaurant, Lucy Gazebo, nearby the National Museum of Ethiopia where Lucy is seen. Then, we will drive up to Entoto Mountains for a panoramic view towards Addis Ababa, and finally, you will experience the shopping at Merkato open air market.

Day 2
Day 2: Flight Lalibela-Visit Rock Hewn Churches of Lalibela

The Addis Ababa team will drop you off at Bole International Airport domestic terminal for your flight to Lalibela early in the morning. Our team in Lalibela will then welcome you at Lalibela airport. The town is the most famous of all of the Ethiopian historical sites.

After breakfast, start your tour of the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, visiting the Northwestern Cluster of churches – Bet Medhane Alem, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danaghel, Bet Mikael & Bet Golgotha (entry not permitted for women, and in the afternoon, visit the Southeastern Cluster of churches – Bet Gabriel-Rufael, Bet Merkorios, Bet Amanuel, and Bet Abba Libanos.

Day 3
Day 3: Morning excursion to Yemrehanna Kristos and Afternoon proceed visiting the rock hewn churches of Lalibela

In the morning, you leave Lalibela for a 42km drive to Yimrhane Kirstos for another ancient built up cave church known as Yimrhane Kirstos. Afternoon, drive back to Lalibela for lunch and you will proceed visiting the remaining groups of church. Finally, you will visit the most famous of all the churches – Bet Giyorgis, constructed in honor of the patron saint of Ethiopia – Saint George.

Day 4
Day 4: Fly to Gondar then proceed driving to the Simien Mountains National Parks

Lunch will be in Gondar. Then proceed driving to Simien Mountains. The Simien Mountains National Park in Northern Ethiopia is an exotic setting with unique wildlife and breathtaking views on a landscape.

Day 5
Day 5: Exploring the Simien Mountains

This day is dedicated to explore the majestic Simien Mountains. The main attraction of the Simien Mountains National Park is its biosphere: the steep cliffs and the cool climate at the altitude of the Erica tree line (3600 to 4000 m ash) have created conditions that are appropriate for the survival of an ibex species (Capra ibex wee) endemic to the Simien Mountains. Despite the severe restriction of their habitat over the last centuries, several hundred animals have survived up to the present. Apart from the Walia ibex, many other animal species are found in the Park, for example the endemic Simien fox or Ethiopian wolf, several birds of prey, the endemic Gelada baboon, the Klipspringer, and the bush buck (liagelphus scriptus).

Day 6
Day 6: Moring drive to Gonder-Visit the Castle of Gonder and afternoon flight to Addis Ababa

Arriving in Gondar at about 11am, you will proceed visiting Debre Berhan Selassie church then break for a lunch. After lunch, you will proceed exploring the royal enclosure. Fasiladas’ Palace, Palace of Iyasu I, and Atatami Mikael Church are some of the attraction to be visited inside the enclosure.

Day 7
Day 7: Drive to Dinsho,the Hqof Bale Mountains

In Dinsho, we will have the chance see the Mountain Nyala and Menelik Bushbuck.
